Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex twice world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
